Should you be present at the inspection?
You should try to be present at the property when the home inspector is working to:
* provide support and advice for your customer (either the buyer or the seller), as the process can be intimidating. Suggest that your customer withhold any judgments until the inspection report has been delivered.
* ensure that the buyer has an opportunity to ask the inspector questions during the process.
* better understand any issues the inspector finds.
* better understand the inspection process, which will help you explain the process to future buyers and sellers.
* ensure that if the inspector breaks or damages something that the inspector takes financial responsibility for the problem.
